Featured Client: Hahn Hall, Music Academy of the West – Montecito, CA

Hahn Hall is a 5 star Recital Hall built on the campus of the Music Academy of the West. Located on the campus of the Music Academy of the West in Montecito, Ca. the new recital hall is a welcome addition. The new hall has become the showcase for the internationally known summer festival for orchestral music. Classic design and comfortable surrounding make Hahn Hall a great place to enjoy the best young musicians in the world.

The Umbria chandelier was modified to include 3 types of lamping. A high powder 500w down light, 4 CFL's to make the fixture glow, and festoon lamps to give some sparkle to the border. The shape of the fixture closely relates to the beautiful ceiling grid. There is an Advance mark X dimming system for all of the lamping in the hall. The foyer features the Felice Chandelier and Umbria ceiling mount chandeliers.

The versatile auditorium with its state of the art acoustics and site lines is complimented by the lighting supplied by Steven Handelman Studios. The Umbria style was used throughout the recital hall in various sizes. All of the lamping is energy efficient with dimming capabilities.

 

The wall sconces were custom made for this project. They reflect the distinctive design of the ceiling grid. Handelman Studios has the experience to respond to very complex requirements such as Hahn Hall. We work closely with architects and specifiers to achieve superior results.

The Anacapa lantern was used in different sizes to conform to the scale of the building. We can scale up all of our lanterns to meet any size requirement.
